AI visibility tools pricing compared: what one tracked question actually costs in 2026

By Anil Sayar, founder of Promvia

Published

In short

On 22 October 2026, the dollar-priced entry plans of the AI visibility tools we read cost between $0.50 (SE Visible) and $3.96 (Semrush, Analyze AI) per tracked prompt a month, and the euro-priced ones between €0.58 (Ahrefs' example) and €1.96 (Promvia). A price per prompt says little until you add engines and cadence: per 1,000 scheduled answers the same entry plans run from $3.30 to $132 (the top figure rests on an assumption about Semrush's engines, set out below). Promvia, which makes this page and is one of the tools compared, sits at the expensive end on that second number with Starter (€78.40), which checks weekly; its Pro plan comes out at €13.91, next to Peec AI Pro (€15.19), Promptwatch Professional ($13.61) and Otterly.ai Standard ($15.75).

Disclosure, and what this page compares

Promvia, the company that publishes this page, sells one of the tools in it. We have tried to make that matter as little as possible: every competitor figure is from the vendor's own page, read on 22 October 2026 and dated, the method is written out before the numbers, and our own plan is held to the same arithmetic, including the line where it comes out worst.

The tools are the ones with a published, per-prompt self-serve plan that we could read in full that day: Otterly.ai, Peec AI, SE Visible, Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Promptwatch, Scrunch, Ansvisor, Analyze AI and Promvia, plus Profound, which publishes no price. Tools that price in credits per response (AthenaHQ, Rankscale) are left out of the tables, since their cost per question depends entirely on the engines and schedule you configure. Feature-by-feature notes on each tool are in our buyer's guide.

A per-prompt price needs two more numbers

A prompt (most vendors' word; we say tracked question) is one question the tool asks on a schedule. Dividing the plan price by the prompt count is the usual comparison, and it hides two multipliers. The first is engines: a prompt checked on five platforms produces five answers, a prompt checked on two produces two. The second is cadence: a prompt checked daily produces about 30 answers per engine a month, weekly about 4.3. Two plans with the same price per prompt can differ more than tenfold in how many answers you actually get to read. Peec AI's pricing page defines its own monthly answer count the same way: "Calculated by multiplying tracked prompts by active models and tracking frequency."

  • Price per prompt: the monthly list price divided by the tracked prompts, on monthly billing unless noted.
  • Scheduled answers a month: prompts × engines included × runs. Where the vendor states its own monthly answer, response or check count, we use that figure as stated. Otherwise daily counts as 30 runs a month, the convention Peec AI, SE Visible and Analyze AI use for their own stated counts, and weekly as 52 ÷ 12.
  • Price per 1,000 scheduled answers: the monthly price divided by those answers, times 1,000.
  • Not counted, for anyone: on-demand or ad hoc runs, extra samples of the same question, seats, add-ons and tax. Promvia asks each language model twice per check by default; we count that as one answer, so our figure is not flattered by our own sampling.
  • Currencies as each vendor's page stated them on 22 October 2026, never converted: Otterly.ai's page states US dollars, though a visitor in Europe may see a € sign on the same numbers. Ahrefs and Semrush showed euros on one of their pages and dollars on another, so each line names the figure's page.

Entry plans, side by side

The cheapest self-serve plan of each tool, ordered by price per prompt. Each line gives the price per prompt, the engines and cadence that price buys, the scheduled answers a month, and the price per 1,000 of them.

  • SE Visible Basic: $0.50 per prompt ($99 ÷ 200). ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, daily; about 30,000 answers a month as stated, so $3.30 per 1,000.
  • Ahrefs Brand Radar, Basic custom-prompt package: €0.58 per prompt on Ahrefs' own example of 80 prompts daily on one platform (€46.70 for 2,500 checks, as shown in Europe; the Brand Radar page says custom prompts start at $50 a month). €18.68 per 1,000 checks; every extra platform multiplies the checks a prompt uses.
  • Ansvisor Starter: $0.98 per prompt ($49 ÷ 50). ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot only, daily; 3,000 answers a month derived, $16.33 per 1,000.
  • Peec AI Starter: €1.70 per prompt (€85 ÷ 50). Three models of your choice, daily; 4,500 answers a month as stated, €18.89 per 1,000.
  • Promptwatch Essential: $1.90 per prompt ($95 ÷ 50). Daily, on all the models it supports; 6,000 responses a month as stated, $15.83 per 1,000. The page does not say how the responses split between models.
  • Otterly.ai Lite: $1.93 per prompt ($29 ÷ 15). ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, daily; 1,800 answers a month derived, $16.11 per 1,000. Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode are paid add-ons.
  • Promvia Starter (ours): €1.96 per question (€49 ÷ 25). ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini weekly, plus a check every 3 days on 10 priority questions on the same three engines; 625 scheduled answers a month derived, €78.40 per 1,000. Every default engine can be run on demand, which this count leaves out.
  • Scrunch Core: $2.00 per prompt ($250 ÷ 125). ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot; 5,000 responses a month as stated, $50.00 per 1,000. The page does not publish a cadence.
  • Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: $3.96 per prompt ($99 ÷ 25), daily. Each Prompt Tracking campaign is set to one engine (ChatGPT Search, Google AI Mode or Gemini), and the page does not say whether a prompt tracked in two campaigns counts twice. If each prompt runs on one engine, that is 750 answers a month and $132.00 per 1,000.
  • Analyze AI Growth: $3.96 per prompt ($99 ÷ 25). ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity, daily; 2,250 answers a month as stated, $44.00 per 1,000. GA4 AI-traffic analytics is included.
  • Profound: not published. Its pricing page lists a 7-day trial (50 prompts it chooses, daily, on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews) and a custom-priced Enterprise plan.

Middle plans, side by side

The next self-serve rung up, where one is published, on the same units. Scrunch publishes no second self-serve plan, and Profound none at all.

  • SE Visible Core: $0.42 per prompt ($189 ÷ 450). The same five platforms, daily; about 67,500 answers a month as stated, $2.80 per 1,000.
  • Ahrefs Brand Radar, Growth package: €0.93 per prompt on Ahrefs' example of 100 prompts daily on two platforms (€93 for 7,000 checks, as shown in Europe); €13.29 per 1,000 checks.
  • Ansvisor Growth: $1.25 per prompt ($249 ÷ 200). ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews, daily; 36,000 answers a month derived, $6.92 per 1,000.
  • Peec AI Pro: €1.37 per prompt (€205 ÷ 150). Three models, daily; 13,500 answers a month as stated, €15.19 per 1,000. Each extra model is €55 a month (annual billing) on this plan.
  • Promptwatch Professional: $1.63 per prompt ($245 ÷ 150). Daily; 18,000 responses a month as stated, $13.61 per 1,000.
  • Promvia Pro (ours): €1.79 per question (€179 ÷ 100). Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode daily, with a weekly check on ChatGPT and Claude; 12,867 scheduled answers a month derived, €13.91 per 1,000.
  • Otterly.ai Standard: $1.89 per prompt ($189 ÷ 100). The same four platforms as Lite, daily; 12,000 answers a month derived, $15.75 per 1,000.
  • Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit with one extra 50-prompt pack: $2.12 per prompt ($99 + $60 for 75). On the same one-engine-per-prompt assumption, 2,250 answers a month and $70.67 per 1,000. Semrush One, which bundles the SEO toolkit, lists 50 prompts at €190 and 100 at €286 a month to European visitors.
  • Analyze AI Pro: $7.14 per prompt ($250 ÷ 35). Four platforms, the fourth not named; 3,150 answers a month as stated, $79.37 per 1,000.

What the two numbers say, and where we land

SE Visible has the lowest figures of the plans we read on both units, in face value and by a wide margin: it counts a prompt once across five platforms and checks them all daily. Ansvisor's Growth plan is next per answer. Ahrefs' packages and Peec AI sit between €13.29 and €18.89 per 1,000 answers, Promptwatch and Otterly.ai between $13.61 and $16.11. Semrush's toolkit and Analyze AI are the most expensive per answer, in exchange for what sits around the prompts: the Semrush suite in one case, GA4 traffic and content workflows in the other.

Promvia Starter is at the expensive end per answer, and we would rather say so than bury it: weekly checks on three engines produce few scheduled answers, so €49 buys 625 of them. Promvia Pro, with Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode daily, comes out at €13.91 per 1,000, in the same band as Peec AI Pro and Promptwatch Professional, and Promvia Agency (€499 for 250 questions, the same schedule) at €15.51.

Price per answer is not the whole comparison either. A tool that asks once and a tool that asks twice record different amounts of evidence per answer; a tool that stores every cited URL gives you more to act on than one that records only whether you appeared; and some plans include things the others sell separately, such as an SEO suite, GA4 traffic or an API.

Where Promvia fits — full disclosure: this is our product

Our plans, from our pricing page and the code behind it on 22 October 2026, in euros excluding VAT: Free (1 site, 5 tracked questions on Perplexity, checked automatically once a month), Starter €49 a month (25 questions), Pro €179 (100 questions, 5 sites, API and MCP server) and Agency €499 (250 questions, 15 sites, white-label reports). Yearly billing is 10% off. Paid checkout is not open yet on 22 October 2026; the free plan works today.

  • Where we are ahead: six web-grounded default engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, with Grok as an option) on every paid plan with no engine add-ons, each language model asked twice per check, every rate shown with its sample size and a 95% interval, every cited URL stored, an MCP server and API on Pro and Agency, and an interface in Turkish as well as English, with Turkish sites' Google questions read from Google Türkiye in Turkish.
  • Where we are behind: weekly checks on Starter, and weekly checks on ChatGPT and Claude even on Pro and Agency, where Otterly.ai, Peec AI, Promptwatch and SE Visible run daily; no Microsoft Copilot today; no SEO suite around the questions; no SSO or SOC 2 report; and a largest plan of 450 questions with packs, not thousands.

How to price a tool for your own questions

  • Count your questions first: the number that measures a rate to the precision you need, not the number a plan happens to include. Our guide to how many prompts to track has the table.
  • List the engines your buyers use and price each shortlisted plan with exactly those engines, add-ons included.
  • Decide the cadence per engine. Daily on a question whose answer barely moves adds answers without adding information; weekly on a fast-moving one misses the week's shape.
  • Multiply out the answers per month and divide the price by them. Then compare what else the price buys: sources stored, repeats per question, intervals, traffic data, API.
  • Re-read the vendor's page on the day you buy. Every figure here is dated 22 October 2026, and several of the pages we read had changed since our previous readings on 7 and 19 October.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an AI visibility tool cost per month?

On 22 October 2026, the entry self-serve plans we read ranged from $29 a month (Otterly.ai Lite, 15 prompts) to $250 (Scrunch Core, 125 prompts), with Promvia Starter at €49 for 25 questions and a free plan on Promvia. Profound publishes no price.

What is the cheapest AI visibility tool per prompt?

Of the plans we read on 22 October 2026, SE Visible: $99 a month for 200 prompts checked daily on five platforms, $0.50 per prompt and about $3.30 per 1,000 answers.

Is daily tracking worth paying for?

It depends on how fast the answers to your questions change. Daily checks give about 30 answers per engine a month against about 4.3 for weekly; for slow-moving questions most of those extra answers repeat the previous day. Price the cadence you need, engine by engine, rather than the most frequent one on offer.

Are these prices in the same currency?

No. Each price is in the currency the vendor's page stated on 22 October 2026, and none is converted (Otterly.ai's page states US dollars; a visitor in Europe may see a € sign on the same numbers). Otterly.ai, SE Visible, Promptwatch, Scrunch, Ansvisor, Analyze AI and Semrush's help article state dollars; Peec AI, Promvia, Ahrefs' pricing page and Semrush One showed euros.
