Ahrefs Brand Radar alternatives in 2026: an honest comparison with prices read today

In short

Ahrefs Brand Radar has the largest ready-made AI prompt index we read (495 million prompts, re-tested monthly) and sells custom prompts in checks: one prompt on one platform per update, from €46.70 a month for 2,500 checks. The alternatives fit when you want fixed prompts on many engines every day at a flat price: SE Visible tracks 200 prompts on five platforms daily for $99, Semrush's toolkit is the other suite option, Otterly.ai and Peec AI are dedicated trackers, Analyze AI puts GA4 traffic next to the answers, Profound is the enterprise option, and Promvia (our product, disclosed here and below) adds a free plan and six default engines with no add-ons (Grok optional on paid plans).

Disclosure first

Promvia publishes this page and sells one of the tools on it. Every competitor figure below was read on that vendor's own pricing or product page on 22 October 2026 and is dated in its source line; our own entry is held to the same standard, and the places where Ahrefs or another tool is the better pick are named.

What Brand Radar does well

Brand Radar works two ways. The AI Visibility Index answers "how does any brand show up across a whole market" with no setup, from prompts modelled on Ahrefs' keyword data, with history and search demand behind each one. Custom Prompts track the exact questions you define. Around both sit Ahrefs' web index, free AI-traffic reports in Web Analytics, and YouTube, TikTok and Reddit source data. For a team already in Ahrefs, that is a lot of context no standalone tracker has.

What a tracked prompt costs once checks are counted

Checks make Brand Radar flexible and harder to compare. Our arithmetic from the figures above: 25 prompts on the six non-Claude platforms, checked daily, use 25 × 6 × 30 = 4,500 checks a month. That is more than Basic's 2,500 and fits inside Growth's 7,000, so it costs €93 a month, €3.72 per prompt. The same 25 prompts checked weekly on the same platforms use about 650 checks and fit in Basic. Claude at 8 checks per update is the expensive line.

That flexibility is a real advantage if you want daily data on two engines and weekly on the rest. If you want every prompt on every engine every day at a known price, a flat per-prompt plan is simpler to budget. Our pricing comparison puts both kinds on the same unit.

When an alternative makes sense

  • Your brand is small or new. Ahrefs says the index works best for brands with meaningful search demand and may have limited coverage below that; custom prompts are the route there, priced by checks.
  • You want a flat price for many engines daily. Per-check pricing grows with every platform and every daily update.
  • You need this month's answers. The index is re-tested monthly; trend work on your own questions runs on custom prompts.
  • You do not use the rest of Ahrefs. Brand Radar is sold standalone too, but much of its value is the context around it.

The alternatives, by need

SE Visible is the flat-price, many-engines option: SE Ranking's standalone product counts a prompt once across five platforms and checks every prompt on all of them daily, at the lowest price per prompt of the plans we read, in face value.

Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit is the other suite add-on. Its prompt allowance is smaller than most here, and each Prompt Tracking campaign runs on one engine, but it sits next to Semrush's keyword and audit data. Our Semrush toolkit alternatives page covers it in full.

Otterly.ai is the lowest monthly bill for daily tracking on four platforms, with Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode as add-ons.

Peec AI is the analytics-depth option, with unlimited users, source classification, AI Shopping and CDN log connectors. Each plan tracks three models you choose.

Analyze AI suits a team that wants AI referral traffic from Google Analytics 4 in the same tool as the answers. Its prompt allowance is small for the price.

Profound is the enterprise option, with custom pricing and the broadest engine menu; it publishes no self-serve paid plan.

Where Promvia fits — full disclosure: this is our product

Promvia is a dedicated tracker with flat per-question plans. Every paid plan asks the six default engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, with Grok as an option) through each provider's API with web search on, with no per-engine charge; each language model is asked twice per check by default; every rate shows its sample size and a 95% interval; and every cited URL is stored. A one-line snippet on every plan, Free included, records AI assistant visits. Pro and Agency include an MCP server and an API, and the interface is in Turkish as well as English.

  • Free: 1 site, 5 tracked questions on Perplexity, checked automatically once a month.
  • Starter, €49 a month: 1 site, 25 questions, a weekly check on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini plus a check every 3 days on 10 priority questions; every default engine on demand.
  • Pro, €179 a month: 5 sites, 100 questions, daily on Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, weekly on ChatGPT and Claude.
  • Agency, €499 a month: 15 sites, 250 questions, the same schedule, white-label reports.

Those are the list prices on our pricing page on 22 October 2026, in euros excluding VAT. Paid checkout is not open yet on 22 October 2026; the free plan works today.

Where Ahrefs is the better pick, plainly: it has a market-wide index of 495 million prompts with search demand behind each, years of web data around it, Microsoft Copilot coverage we do not have, and cadence you can set per platform. Promvia Starter checks weekly, and ChatGPT and Claude run weekly even on Pro and Agency, so if you need those two engines every day, Brand Radar or a daily tracker fits better.

How to choose in 30 minutes

  • Decide whether you need a market view or your own questions. The index answers the first with no setup; every tool here answers the second.
  • Write down your 10 realest buyer questions and the engines your buyers use.
  • Price each shortlisted tool for exactly those questions, engines and cadence. For Brand Radar that means counting checks; for a flat plan, reading which engines are included.
  • Run the same questions through two tools' trials or free plans on the same day and compare what each recorded.
  • Ignore any vendor who promises a placement: no tool can guarantee one, ours included.
