The short version
- Pick Otterly.ai if: daily checks on every question are worth more to you than engine breadth, you need Microsoft Copilot, or you want the bigger prompt pool at the top price point.
- Pick Promvia if: you want Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode included rather than bought as add-ons, you need to know what AI assistants sent you in visits and orders, or you want to start free with no time limit.
- Pick neither yet if: you have no baseline at all. Run your ten realest buyer questions through a free plan first and see whether AI answers mention your category.
Price and what each plan includes
- Promvia Starter, €29 a month: 20 tracked questions on 1 site; ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini checked weekly, plus a trend check every 3 days on 10 priority questions; all default engines on demand.
- Promvia Pro, €119 a month: 80 questions across 5 sites; daily checks on Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews and AI Mode, and a weekly deep check on ChatGPT and Claude; API and MCP server included.
- Promvia Agency, €449 a month: 220 questions across 15 sites (up to 420 with question packs), the same cadence, white-label client reports included.
Our arithmetic from Otterly's page, so you can redo it: matching Promvia's six default surfaces on Otterly means adding Claude, Gemini and AI Mode, which takes Lite to €76, Standard to €416 and Premium to €1,226 a month. Promvia includes those six on every paid plan, with Grok as an option. The trade runs the other way on cadence: Otterly checks all of its engines daily on every plan, while Promvia checks ChatGPT and Claude weekly even on Pro and Agency.
Promvia's prices are the list prices on our pricing page on 7 October 2026. Paid checkout had not opened yet on that date; the free plan (1 site, 5 questions, Perplexity only, on demand) is live.
Where Otterly is ahead
- Daily tracking on every plan, for every prompt. Promvia's Starter is weekly with a trend sample, and ChatGPT and Claude are weekly on every Promvia plan.
- Microsoft Copilot from €29. Promvia does not measure Copilot today, and our methodology says so.
- A bigger pool for the price at the top: 400 prompts on Premium for €489, against 220 questions on Promvia's €449 Agency plan (420 only with paid question packs), and Enterprise from 1,000.
- Several countries in one workspace (50+ listed). Promvia sets one market per site, so tracking a brand in three countries means three sites.
- A Google Looker Studio connector from Standard, unlimited team members on every plan, and a free trial of the paid plans. Promvia has a free plan instead of a trial, so you cannot try daily multi-engine tracking before paying.
- Longer in market, with a larger catalogue of free GEO tools.
Where Promvia is ahead
- Engines included rather than added: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode on every paid plan, and you can drop engines to track up to three times as many questions.
- Visits and revenue next to the answers: a one-line snippet records AI assistant visits on every plan including Free, Shopify orders are attributed from verified order data, and a read-only Google Analytics connection is available. Confirmed and inferred visits sit in separate columns, never one total.
- Uncertainty on every rate: each percentage shows its sample size and a 95% interval, so ten questions do not pass for a trend.
- Public, row-level data: the AI Source Index publishes every observation behind it each week, under an open licence.
- API and MCP from €119 (Otterly includes both from its €189 plan), and an interface in English and Turkish.
One number we measured ourselves
Feature tables are each vendor's own claims. Here is one measurement anyone can repeat: our free citability checker run over both vendors' own homepages, scoring how well each site practises the on-page groundwork this category preaches.
It scores the vendor's website, not the product behind it, and three points is not a verdict. The full run and method are here.
How to choose in 30 minutes
- Write down your 10 realest buyer questions: what customers type, not your brand name.
- List the engines your buyers actually use, then price each tool with exactly those engines, add-ons included.
- Decide whether daily or weekly is enough for your questions; an answer that changes slowly does not need a daily sample.
- Check that the number your work is judged on exists in the product: prompts tracked, visits, or revenue.
- Ignore any vendor who guarantees you'll be recommended, us included. No tool can promise placement in AI answers.
Frequently asked questions
Is Promvia cheaper than Otterly.ai?
At the entry rung the list price is the same, €29 a month. With Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode added, Otterly's plans cost more than Promvia's at every tier; without them, Otterly gives you daily checks on its four included engines. Compare the plan with the engines you need, not the headline price.
Does Promvia track Microsoft Copilot?
Not today. Otterly includes Copilot on every plan. If Copilot answers matter to your buyers, that alone may decide this comparison for you.
Can I move my prompts from Otterly to Promvia, or back?
Yes. There is no standard export between vendors, but a prompt list is just text, and both tools accept questions added by hand or in bulk. Moving is a copy and paste of your question set.
Can either tool guarantee AI assistants will recommend my brand?
No, and treat any vendor who promises it with suspicion, us included. AI answers are probabilistic and change between runs. What a tool can honestly do is measure where you stand, show who is cited instead of you, and point at the fixes that improve your odds.
