GitHub pull requests

Approve the fix. Promvia opens the pull request — then checks it worked.

Most AI visibility tools stop at a report. Promvia turns a finding into the exact file, opens it as a pull request on your repository when you approve it, and after you merge, re-checks your live site to confirm the change landed.

How it works

  1. Connect a repository

In Settings → Integrations, choose Connect GitHub. You sign in to GitHub, install the Promvia AI app on the repositories you pick, and choose the one that serves this site. Only repositories you can push to are offered.

  2. Approve a fix

Open a fix from your Fix list. For a missing llms.txt, Promvia writes the new file where your site serves it (public/ in Next.js, Vite or Astro). For robots.txt it edits your own file and changes only the lines that block AI search crawlers — your sitemap, other rules and training opt-outs stay as they are. On Pro, a content draft can go in the same way, as a new post in your blog folder and format. Snippets for your page's <head> stay copy-and-paste for now. Nothing is opened until you press Open pull request.

  3. Review and merge

The pull request arrives on its own promvia/fix-… branch. Edit it, merge it or close it: Promvia never merges anything and never pushes to your default branch.

  4. Promvia checks it worked

After the merge, Promvia re-runs the Site check on your live site by itself. The fix is marked verified from what your site now serves — not from the fact that a pull request was merged.

What the app can and cannot do

  • It asks GitHub for three permissions only: write repository contents, write pull requests, and read metadata.
  • It works only in the repositories you install it on, and every change uses a short-lived token limited to that one repository.
  • A pull request may only touch the paths you allow — by default llms.txt, robots.txt, public/ and docs/, plus your blog folder once you confirm it. A new post is always a new file; an existing one is never edited.
  • Remove it any time: disconnect in Promvia, or uninstall the app in your GitHub settings — Promvia drops the connection as soon as GitHub tells it.

Which plans

GitHub pull requests are included on Starter, Pro and Agency. On Free, the same fixes come as files to download, with step-by-step instructions for your platform.
